With 1 in 5,000 females experiencing MRKH, the pathway to diagnosis may be tricky to navigate. The right information and approach can have a significant impact on someone’s experience with MRKH — both now and in the future.

Bridging the gap between patient and professional has endless benefits to the MRKH community. Understanding that effective change thrives on a collaborative model, MRKH Australia is engaged with clinical leaders who share the same desire to improve patient care.

With a national profile, we aspire to be a go-to referral for health care professionals seeking support for their patients. Acting as a conduit between the MRKH community and the Health Sector, we will offer information and guidance on the ongoing management of MRKH peer support; supporting opportunities for the purposes of research and creating resources to assist all stakeholders better treat, support and advocate for MRKH.

“Young people with MRKH deserve transparent holistic care from health services that use sensitive terminology and respect. We, as health professionals, need to ensure that young people are informed of the spectrum of options for clinical care, including the critical and empowering role of peer support.”
